A programme by the Davao Tourism Association: member restaurants, cafés, stays and experiences across the city, each offering its own perk — carried on your phone instead of in a booklet.

    Habi At Kape — Coffee downtown before the streets fill up.

    Kadayawan street events — The parade and street dancing routes are published by the city each year.

  3. Afternoon

    Davao Famous Restaurant — A long lunch off Ramon Magsaysay Avenue, out of the sun.

  4. Late afternoon

    Thai Boran Massage — A massage after a day on your feet. The Maa branch runs late.

  5. Evening

    Annipie — Something sweet on the way back.

Two days: the city, then the islandFor a first visit outside the festival crowd. Day one stays in Davao City; day two crosses to Samal.

Is the Davao Tourist Passport a government travel document?

No. It is not a government-issued travel document. It's a programme run by the Davao Tourism Association (DATA) that brings member establishments and their perks together in one place.

How much does it cost?

The digital edition is free of charge for now. (The printed booklet is a separate, paid product.)

Who decides what perks are offered?

Each member establishment sets and honours its own perk. DATA brings the establishments together; the establishments themselves provide what's on offer.

Who is DATA?

The Davao Tourism Association, Inc. (DATA) has represented tourism businesses in the Davao region since 1974. It is the organisation behind the Davao Tourist Passport.

Is this run by the City of Davao?

The Davao City Tourism Operations Office (DCTOO) cooperates on the tourism side of this programme. It is presented by DATA, with scheme verge providing the underlying platform.

There is nothing to download yet. The Davao Tourism Association will announce the launch on its Facebook page, and the city's festival channels will carry it as well — that is where the date will appear first.

About DATA

Davao Tourism Association, Inc.

The Davao Tourism Association, Inc. — DATA — has represented tourism businesses in the Davao region since 1974. Its members are the hotels, restaurants, resorts, shops and tour operators that visitors actually deal with.

The Davao Tourist Passport is DATA's programme. DATA brings the member establishments together and defines what each of them offers; the establishments themselves are the ones providing and honouring the perks.

The digital edition is being built with DATA rather than for it. scheme verge provides the platform, Horai; Yachiyo Engineering supports the wider study; the City Tourism Operations Office cooperates on the tourism side.
